Academy Rules

The Shaolin Temple Martial Arts Academy emphasis many rules and regulations that each students, disciple, parents, guests and friends must follow for entering our academy. All Rules are inforces.

1. Always respect and listen to instructors

2. Absolutely no unnecessary conversation.

3. If you have questions, raise hands for instructors attention

4. No eating or chewing gum in class.

5. No laughting or suggestive remarks to other students

6. All students must respect each other and get along with each other.

7. Encourage others to do better

8. No restroom during class time unless give permission

9. No leaving class without permission.

10. "I can't do it" attitude is not acceptable, everyone must try.

11. Do not instruct others without permission.

12. Penalty for Tardiness

13. Proper practice Attire, (no jeans or sandal).

14. Must be in school's uniform, (orange t-shirt or full Shaolin uniform)

15. Address instructor as "Si Fu" during class time.

16. If you are late, do not disturb the class.

17.Be on time

18. Will not make up any false statements about any

instructors, students, and staff members.

19. Use skills as a mean of self-defense, not showing off.

20. No laziness during class time.
Upon Arrival, respectfully greet and acknowledge Shifu and fellow students.

21. Students must not eat or drink during class. In the case of extreme exhaustion, a
student may drink water with the permission of Shifu.

22. Students must not gossip.

23. If a student must leave prior to the end of scheduled class, they must ask
permission before leaving.

24. Students must pay fees for classes and supplies in a timely manner.

25. Students must turn off their cell phone when entering the training area.

26. Students must not pick up ANY weapon that has not been taught to them.

27. Students must not warm-up with ANY weapons in the training area.

28. Students must leave promptly after class is over so as the next class can start.

29. Proper respect and consideration must be shown to Sifu and other students and
other martial arts schools. Respect in this manner is deeper than mere bowing to
show thanks. It also means to show consideration, esteem and honor towards
others. Further, one must make certain that their words and actions cannot be
considered disrespectful of others and especially of the time and energy they
dedicate to training.
